When it comes to aida, I love bright and vibrant colors. In the past I've printed directly onto aida similar to how DMC have their own range of printed aida, but there's something really satisfying about hand dyeing your own aida to get exactly the color you want.
This Cyberpunk 2077 keychain was inspired by the game's futuristic aesthetic and neon color palette. The yellow background perfectly complements the dark cyberpunk logo, creating a striking contrast that really makes the design pop.
Materials Used
- 18 count hand-dyed yellow aida
- DMC black floss (310)
- DMC dark grey floss (3799)
- Keychain hardware
- Interfacing for stability
Stitching Process
The design was relatively simple with only 2 colors, making it perfect for a quick weekend project. I used a combination of full cross stitches and backstitch for the text details.
The hand-dyed yellow aida was the star of this project. Getting that perfect cyber-yellow color took a few attempts, but the final result was worth it. The color really captures that Cyberpunk 2077 aesthetic.
Finishing
After completing the stitching, I backed it with interfacing for durability and attached keychain hardware. The finished piece measures approximately 2.5 inches wide, making it perfect for keys or attaching to a bag.
This project was a great way to combine my love of cross stitch with my appreciation for video game aesthetics. If you're a Cyberpunk 2077 fan, this would make a perfect quick stitch project!
